* Blue Ridge View *

    During my hike on the Appalachian trail last weekend I hiked up to the
summit of Hightop Mountain where there was a rock outcropping that looked
out over the valley on the West side of the hill. This is a spliced together
image of 6 pictures panning the awesome 180 degree view.
    While standing up there I realized, like so many other places in this
world, that the only way that a person could actually experience this
awe-inspiring view is to actually hike up the trail on foot.
    The summit is a 1.7 mile hike, uphill from Skyline Drive. It took me
about a hour to get to the top.
