This sunset looked as if it were going to really be impressive. As I have said before, "Sometimes you just have to be very patient, even long after the sun has gone down." Some sunsets are more brilliant after the sun has gone down below the horizon. The sun's rays then shine through clouds beyond the horizon and are reflected on the clouds above, creating an impressive display of colors. Such as these sunset pictures previously sent.

 This sunset didn't turn out to be quite like these as I believe there may have been too many clouds obscuring the sun, beyond the horizon. I took this one on Dec. 31, 2001.
