* Whiskey Puppy *

One of the best dogs in the whole world. Whiskey, here, came into my life when I was about ten years old and remained my best friend for more than seven years. Being a small little dog, Whiskey seemed to be constantly protecting and saving me from cats, snakes, armadillos, goats, opossum, and any other creatures that he thought he could defeat. However, a very bold little dog he was, he would never back down from anything and did, occasionally attempt a battle against amazing odds. I do recall him taking on a full grown German Shepard once.

He was also an amazing escape artist, getting free from collars, ropes and chains, to climbing fences and trees all seemed like a challenge to him and it became apparent that we were not going to keep him confined. After all, how could he protect us if he was imprisoned?

Later on we had moved away from town and out to the country. Living out and away from any congested and rural areas Whiskey had full freedom and rarely wandered off. Unfortunately his desires got the best of him and he did on occasions go exploring. Eventually he must have made a poor decision upon crossing a busy street and fell to his demise.

Whiskey was quite the mutt. Being a mix of Dachshund, Spaniel, and Beagle, he had a very odd, but distinct appearance. Not long after his departure I began to notice a lot of new dogs in town with very similar attributes. Apparently, on his adventurous nights out, he had been quite a busy little guy.
