Once all the wind and rain was gone, this morning, the signs that Isabel had left us was obvious. The sky had cleared and the sun came out. The threat was over, the calm after the storm, like it had never happened. But limitless reminders will haunt us for a long time to come. 

Like that empty spot where my comfy lawn chair used to be.
