January 1, 2000, I was visiting Arizona when it snowed at my uncle's house. Not an extremely bizarre or uncommon event, since he lives at the foot of the Catalina Mountains, but it certainly looked odd to see snow covered cacti.
Of course just a few miles down the road it was warm and the sun was shining bright.
