Well I finally got off a few shots of this quick bird. There appears to be two of them lurking around the property here. Not quite the harmless victim that it is portrayed to be from the cartoons, this bird is actually a carnivore and is quite vicious to its prey. It stalks the smaller animals that thrive out here and is quite skilled at rushing in and picking off a baby quail from time to time.
