* Monsoon Lightning *

Also impressive during the monsoon season is the thunderstorms and lighting. I am currently trying to capture some great shots of the lightning. I'm currently trying to find good locations with clear skies to get some good shots. I stopped in a clearing at a new housing development construction area one evening to try to get some pictures but was run off by the security guard.

Some of these displays present lightning quite frequently and it might be a little easier to get a few good shots. It would also be nice to have a better camera with more features. Specifically one that will allow for much longer exposures at night. So for the time being I'm being very patient and waiting for the signs of a flash from the sky, as I hold my finger over the shutter button and try to rely on my reflexes. And patience, patience, patience.

This impressive bolt of lightning was slightly to the right of the camera, but I was just able to grab the very edge of it. 

As the month progresses, and the monsoons continue I hope to get some really impressive images.
