Well there's nothing better than getting a picture of one of these. Although this is a Western Tiger Swallowtail, I really couldn't tell much difference between it and the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. In which I had previously found in Virginia. But, of course, since I'm in Arizona, I knew this couldn't be an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail. Unless it was really lost.

I followed it around the yard and took numerous pictures. Being very careful I was able to get in quite close and even touch and hold it for a brief moment. But of course it had a different agenda and was primarily focused on the flowers.
