* Aqua Caliente *

"Aqua Caliente", of course, translates into English as "Hot Water". The Aqua Caliente park is just on the outskirts of the east side of Tucson, AZ. An area that has quickly become populated. At the foot of the Catalina Mountains it is a true oasis in the desert. With natural spring water, it supports a great deal of vegetation and wildlife. The park was originally named for its natural hot springs, which has been changed over time. Somebody had changed the water input to the park and combined it with a cold spring so the water is no longer hot. But its still a neat place to visit. The ponds support ducks, turtles, birds, fish, and lots of interesting dragonflies and other insects. Oh, and, although I didn't see any, I imagine that there's snakes too.
