* Post Halloween *

Coming home from the party, Matilda did not see the telephone pole until it was too late.

Of course it might have been Matilda.    But....
"We worry when we wonder which witch was which."

Surely the ritual of the Halloween holiday doesn't come merely with the task of dressing up in strange costumes and handing out candy to dreadful-looking neighboring children that we usually never see, many other things take place. Such as the various parties and gatherings and other functions. But then, like any other event, the worst part of any holiday is the aftermath, when we have to clean up the mess. Whether it be removing all the toilet paper out of the trees in the front yard, or hosing off the pumpkin guts from the sidewalk, or even the task of getting the remains of a dead witch off of a nearby telephone pole.

You'd think after all of these centuries that they'd learn not to drink and drive.

I found this about a mile down the road. And the funny thing was that it really didn't show up until the very next day after Halloween.
