Something that I find interesting is to eliminate all the color around an object in a picture, leaving the main subject standing out from everything else. Its a feature that really works good with people too.
How I did it:
Very simply just mask out everything around the object and change the color
properties. Of course this will be done differently with each and every
different graphic program. To mask all of the surrounding area is easier to do
by actually masking the object and then perform an "invert mask"
feature. This will mask the opposite of the object. Then just drop all the color
intensity levels of the area. Or, with some software, you can easily just change
the object (background) to grayscale. For some software programs you might have
to first create an "object" from the mask.
