This was a past image that I had taken when I had a black widow in my house. I thought it would make for an interesting contrast image so I deleted everything around the spider and enhanced the contrast and converted it to black and white. Then I turned it back to a full color JPEG image.
Interestingly enough, its quite the experiment to reveal how well JPEG compression works. If you can, compare the size of this file itself and see how small it is. Most of my images usually range from around 15-20K, while this one is only about 5K.
The fewer colors in an image, the smaller the file size.
