I'm not sure if any of you recall one of my favorite shows when I was younger. But I thought that this little baby bird looked very much like a baby "Gonzo", one of my favorite characters. This is from a tiny nest in the lemon tree here in my uncle's yard. One day, while the wind was blowing rather hard, my uncle showed me this nest with the mother sitting in it. She was very small, about the size of a finch, and was hanging on for dear life as the wind blew the small tree back and forth. No matter how close we got to her, she would not leave the nest, apparently protecting the eggs from falling out. Several days later I went out and got a few shots of the new little birds in the nest.
