* Building * |
An associate had emailed me with a deadline to find a good picture of a building for a web site that he was developing. He had one but was not sure if he could use it or not for potential copyright infringements. I quickly went through my archives and found this building here from Dallas, Texas. But the background was cloudy and rather drab. So I touched up the image just a bit. Unfortunately, for various reasons, I don't think that the image will be used after all. Anybody want to buy a picture of a building?? Anybody? hello??
How I did it:
I first flipped (mirrored) the image to match the angle and layout that he
had with his previous building. I then brushed out the other building. I masked
out all of the white from behind the building and inverted the mask, copying
only the building from the image. I went through my archives and found a good
sky with some wispy clouds. I opened the image and paste the building over the
top of the sky. I then performed and positioned a "lens-flare" effect
to give the glint of a sun from behind the building.
