Just on the north side of town, at the foot of the Santa Catalina Mountains is the Sabino Canyon. Used for hundreds of years by the natives and the local people as a home and a recreational area, there are many trails and many wonders to see here. From the hiking in the desert terrain around the canyon area, to hiking right down in the canyon and along the cool running stream that flows through, creating a very diverse assortment of vegetation and wildlife. Its a wonderful place to visit. And if you're not into the hiking and just want to go for the view, there are several trams that give daily tours up and down the canyon.

 I took lots of pictures this past week and plan to go back for more again.
Oh, and no, I didn't use the trams, I walked.
