Here's another picture of a child that I put in my presentation. This shot comes from a beach in New Jersey, back in 2002. This kid, and his whole demeanor, really seemed to stand out from all the rest. He had such an amazing smile and positive energy about him. And, although there were no other kids playing with him, he was having such a wonderful time.

Then there was the sad news when I discovered that he was undergoing chemotherapy for some very harsh medical conditions that a child of that age should never have to endure. 
So we see, all too often, that life is not always very fair. And my heart goes out to all those special children out there that have to struggle so hard, in so many ways.
