* Children are Special People *

This is a shot of a special little guy that I had the pleasure of meeting quite a few years ago. He was the son of some very good friends in New Jersey. But of course as children grow up so quickly, he should now be about 10 years old.

I just put together a Power Point presentation for a group working to put together a private school for children with Asperger's Disorder. But, while working on a template, I didn't really have very many images in my own archives of children with any disorders. Those images will have to be added later. So I just put together a bunch of pictures of children I had in my archives. Then I structured the initial presentation to fit a more global spectrum, focusing more on the basic differences of all people in general, and how difficult it can be sometimes for us to fit in.

So I recall growing up, myself, and having such a tough time trying to fit in. Although I never really wanted to be considered "normal" and be just like everybody else. I wanted to be different, and stand out in a crowd. But in a world filled with so many people, its almost impossible to be such an individual. So we have to struggle with the balance of following our own destinies, while at the same time, trying to fit in with the rest of the crowd. Because the two directions don't always meet.

Since the Power Point presentation contains copy written music, I will not be posting it to my web site, but will be emailing it out to anybody that wants a copy. And they can feel free to forward it on to anybody they wish. Feel free to ask me to send it to you.
