* Grasshopper Flower *

So, like the Goldenrods I had previously posted, I've seen spiders that like to lurk in the center of flowering plants, and attack their unsuspecting victims as they come to feast upon the nectar. But I had never seen a grasshopper sitting in the center of the flowers, and it made me wonder why one would. Not only was this little grasshopper just sitting right in the center of this flower. But, as I looked around at all the other flowers of this type, they also had a small grasshopper nestled in the center of them as well.

This small flower, and its little host, was taken in Maui on a short hike to some waterfalls.
