One morning I actually got a fairly early start and headed off. As I made a turn down the gravel road of the driveway I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I quickly turned and saw a pack of dogs. At first thought I was wondering what a group of dogs was doing on the property, until I realized that it was actually a whole pack of coyotes. As soon as they saw me they began darting under the fence and across the neighboring property. But as I grabbed my camera and opened my car door, the last coyote stopped its tracks, realizing that it might not be able to make it through the fence. It looked at me for a moment as I got this shot and changed its direction back across the back side of the property. I followed but never got another shot of it.

At night the coyotes out here do run fairly close and around the houses on the property. I have heard them right at my back door and even saw them outside as they passed by my window.

I sure hope that stupid cat of mine appreciates the safety of her home.
