* Cropping *

Some time ago I thought that anything over 3 megapixels for a digital camera would just be overkill. However, after some thought on the matter, and numerous shots later, I have come to realize that it can have it's advantages. Like when you get a shot and want to crop something out of the original, you could still maintain a fairly good quality image of the cropped object.

Cropping is also handy if you have a difficult time keeping objects in the center of the shot. Or if you just want to eliminate an unwanted subject from the picture as well. I'll leave it to all your imaginations to determine what subject you might want to eliminate.

On a side note of today's image; The other day I was outside taking pictures of a beautiful sunset when I felt something tingling on my feet. The tingling soon turned into an itching, and then a stinging and burning sensation. I knew I was in trouble. As I finally looked down I noticed that I was standing right at the edge of this ant colony, and they were not very pleased by my presence. So I got a few quick shots of them and left the area.
