On my way home the other day I stopped at the Catalina state park to get some shots of the sunset. I missed some of the impressive colors of the clouds over the mountains to the east and just focused (pardon the pun) on the sunset. But after taking a few shots I turned and looked and the whole sky had turned this strange amber color. As it turned out, that evening produced some very intense electrical storms. I did get some more very impressive pictures of the lightning, and one very close strike that really startled me.
