* Life's Sticky Moments *

I always say, "No matter how bad things may seem, they could always be worse."

I greeted a man on the street one day and expressed what a wonderful day it was. He replied with, "Yeah? well it would be a lot better if this wind would stop blowing." And then it dawned on me; "Some people will complain, even when the wind blows." Suddenly, in my head I pictured a small Danny from years ago, sitting on his front porch, kite in hand, wishing that the wind would blow. Go figure.
The irony made me laugh at the gentleman.

Some years ago, as I was leaving a shopping center, and across a parking lot, I came upon a scene where a woman was upset and was making a big deal about how horrible it was that she had chewing gum on her tire, and how disgusting it was that somebody had discarded it and left it there.
And I thought to myself, "Gum on her tire? And that upset her that much?"
So I couldn't help myself and I laughed and said, "At least it's not on your shoe. Or even worse, in your hair."
She just gave me a dirty look, let out a disgusted sigh, got in her car and slammed the door.
 I guess that optimism wasn't on the agenda of her day.

So just yesterday, I was walking out to my car, across a parking lot, and noticed this on my tire.
 It made me laugh so I took a picture.
