Baja South (Todos Santos)

Todos Santos is a very nice little town with some wonderful shops and restaurants. Labeled an "artsy" community it has a very nice comfortable and relaxing feel to it.

Aha, I finally found the perfect "Baja" vehicle there. Actually known as a "Baja Bug" these are generally made using the frame and engine of a Volkswagen Beetle.

Now you can't beat 90 degrees in the shade, especially when you're already at the beach. Just jump in. With the climate down there, it never really seemed like it was that warm.

After having lunch in Todos and walking around town a little we stopped at the hotel to meet Ed's friend, Brad. A little while later we all followed Brad back to his house on the beach. What a great place that is. We met his gardener as he was working on all the plants around the house. The house has two nice rooms joined by a shared bathroom. A separate kitchen, dining and den area is large enough for a good party. The place definitely has a relaxed feel with its palm-leaf roof and surf boards lined along the ceiling. I would highly recommend this town for anybody and you should definitely get in touch with Brad for a room at the hotel in Todos or to stay at his place on the beach. It is so much more comfortable and personal and secluded than the hotels in Cabo and only about thirty to forty-five minutes up the highway.

We all went swimming and enjoyed the beach until the sun went down.

Eli was having the best time playing in the sand.

The sun finally went down as you see Mario here making one last swim.

A little later, after the sun had set we all went up the road to a local restaurant to have dinner.

After dinner Ed, Eli, and Mario headed off back to Cabo while I stayed the night at Brad's place. It was so very sad to say goodbye to my new friends. Of course Eli had already zonked out for the night.

I do say goodbye though, with the knowledge that I will keep in touch and see my friends again some day.

By the way, girls, Ed and Mario are both single.

Oh, and so is Eli, but you'll have to wait a few years.
