Off in the distance I watch the huge cruise ships come and go on the horizon.

Did I mention, "HUGE"?

Then, on down the beach I could see these guys surfing with these big kites. I guess its called kite surfing. Whatever its called, its surely something that I want to try. I'd seen people doing this before but not quite like this guy was. It was amazing just to sit there and watch him as he zipped across from the left to the right, up and down the beach.

Then, like magic, he would pull up the lines and lift himself completely out of the water. Not just a few feet, but this parachute sized kite would pick him up almost a hundred feet in the air where he did spins and rolls and drop back in the water and not even miss a stroke.

Back and forth across the beach he kept going. I know he must have been getting tired it looked like an extremely physically demanding sport. Years ago a friend of mine had some kites similar to these and they could easily drag you off of your feet and quickly wore me out as I tried to fly them. I can't imagine trying to fly one of those kites AND try to surf as well.

So I got my eyes full but still wanted to stay. Unfortunately the financial demons are still biting at my heels, so I head on down the road.

On the way up the highway back to the mainland I watched the sun setting in my rear view mirrors.

I stopped a few times to catch a few shots as the sun sank down beyond the horizon once more.

Just down the road, before I got to the mainland I saw this thing off the side of the road and wondered how I missed it on the way down there. This was an amazing sculpture of a lobster. The detail was incredible and it was huge.

So I figured I'd better get a shot of me to show how huge this thing really was.

By the way, did I mention, "HUGE"?

Anyway, I had a HUGE time down there its all over now. All I have now is the memories. Well, and a bunch of pictures. That's for when I get old and the memories get lost.
