 Also known as Caelsalpinia Pulcherrima, this beautiful flower is seen all around the area here in Tucson. Of course I'm sure that most of them are planted for the landscaping as I haven't seen any of them growing wild. 

My first experience with these is a close up picture that I took several years ago in San Antonio, Texas. I'm sure you can find it in my archives somewhere.

And no, I'm pretty sure these weren't named after a Red Mexican.
